Ronnie and I have been married for 43 years. In case any of you don't recall, we met on a blind date arranged by Denny Henderson (Ronnie's cousin)and Janie Hamm(one of my best friends from Tech and still is). Janie, Linda Hendrix and Ronnie & I go to the same church at Richland Hills Church of Christ.

Ronnie & I have three children; Ronnie II, Randy, and Sherrilynn. They have given us nine grandchildren so far. There is always possibilities for more which we would love.
We have six granddaughters and three grandsons.
Our first four are granddaughters and they are 19, 17, 16, & 12. The oldest is off to Texas Tech for her Junior yr.in the fall.
Next we have three grandsons, they are 12, 9, 8, and last but not least are the other two granddaughters who happen to be three weeks apart and both born in Sept. and are 3 years old.
Ronnie & I stay very busy participating in all of their sports acitvities by hauling coolers, lawn chairs, snacks, umbrellas, suntan lotion,& etc., but most of all when we go we make sure we have plenty of that thing called MONEY!! You know, lot's of change for everything. We love it!!!! You know you, gotta do it for the grandkids!

One of the biggest things happening with us is the remodeling of our kitchen/den which has been on going since the end of last Aug. (What a pain in the bo-honk-cus). People are beginning to put dates down as to when they think we'll get it finished, (like it won't).Ha!
This past year at the of July and the first of Aug. Ronnie and I went to Sri Lanke with 'Bread For a Hungry World'.  We were there with a group from our church who had been building free homes for people who had lost everything and loved ones. We were helping to clear the land, pick up the debri, paint, spread a little love and hope to a lot of those who didn't have much of any. The work is still going on and more houses are needed. You can build a house for $3500. Incredible isn't it?!?
I also went on a trip Dec. 27th to Gotchina, Russia with BFHW to take Christmas presents (which they celebrate Christmas a week after we do) to the orphans and street kids. We held a Bible camp for them half of the time that we were there, cooked meals for them, shopped for more things to put in the church home. The orphanage is just like in the movies (pretty drab) that's why we're trying to sponcer a larger home for the orphans to live in instead of being taken care of by the government.  This place would also be for the street kids to live, which a lot of them already come to eat at the present place now, some will even sleep over, especially when it's so cold. These are some of the things we try to supply, warm clothes, coats, gloves, scarves, and hats as well as food.
Ronnie and I have found this to be a real bleassing to our lives. We receive a lot more than we could ever give.  God has already given us all we need but continues to give us more everyday.  Isn't He Awesome?!
My parents just celebrated their 65th anniversary on Dec. 4th., 2006.  They married 3 days before Pearl Harbor when they were 16 & 17 yrs. old. At the ripe old age of 83, my dad is still building houses with my brother. Until this past Dec. my mom & I had been baking cookies together and selling them for about 1 1/2 yrs.  Both of my parents are still in great health and I thank the Lord for that everyday, believe me.
My dad was in the military, so that made me a military brat.  I went to 15 schools in my 12 years; 3 Junior Highs, & 5 High Schools.  I think the shortest amount of time I was in one school was 6 weeks (maybe that long).  I lived in Japan and Germany part of that time.
I got to travel by ship and airplane back in the early 50's which not very many people got to do at that time so I felt very fortunate.  My best friend was my big brother Ronn, (who was killed in a car wreck in 1989 at age 46) because we moved so much growing up, he was the one person I could count on. We were 21 months apart in age. I have another brother Rick, 7 yrs. younger, who is a real character and has brought a lot of joy & laughter to my life. My one and only little sister, Peggy, is 11 years younger than me.  She was like my little doll when she was born. I got married at 19 and she was just eight, my flower girl, so we really didn't get to know each other until the last 25 years.
At this time I babysit my daughters 3 children. They are 2 of the girls and one of the boy (12,8,& 3)grandchildren. And YES I have my hands FULL.
I enjoy visiting with wonderful friends from high school, so give me a call and Janie, Linda and I will have lunch with you or maybe even dinner, who knows? Or maybe, Ronnie & I will let you come over and help us finish our kitchen or den. That would surely earn you a free meal, don't you think?

Sue & Ronnie

p.s.  We have a family picture but it won't be available until July.  We had to have one of the kids pic. made latter & put in with the rest of us.  Cute Huh?
